new year, new start.....

It is well know amongst creative people that creativity dries up every now and then. Its up to each of us to find and act on inspiration whether it is in a piece of art or a book, a trip somewhere new or simply a good chat with a friend. We will all find direction somewhere.
the past 18 months
Anyone that knows me understands that the last 18 months have been a bit testing. The devastating loss of a friend and family member has massively affected me and changed my outlook on life. I also lost two of my dogs to illness and anyone that as lost an animal that they were very close to will tell you it is as bad as losing a human being, sometimes worse.
I guess I'm trying to say that its time to draw a line under the bad stuff and now look forward to the new stuff!
For the past couple of months I have been working with Cyanotypes and really enjoying it. Ive managed to produce them onto glass (which has been a bit challenging) and I'm now happy with the results. I've also started using my darkroom again so I feel way more creative than I did and can't wait to continue.
Im also mentoring again for the BIPP which is something I really enjoy and find very rewarding. We all need to give a little back especially to people that have helped us along the way and the BIPP have helped me all the way through my career. So, Happy New Year! Onwards and upwards.......
